Research FellowshipCommunication and Coordination in Primary Health Care
Primary Health Care Researcher Development Program Placements 2004/2005
Applications are invited from health professionals in the Geraldton region for a research fellowship in the area of improved communication between health care providers. The fellowship provides a salary for the equivalent of six months fulltime plus research expenses. This is an excellent opportunity to increase research skills while being involved in a practical project and in a supportive environment. It is funded by the Department of Health and Ageing.
The research fellow will be based at the Midwest Division of General Practice. He or she will also receive support from CUCRH including UWA library access, academic supervision and regular participation in research meetings and seminars. MWDGP and CUCRH will be responsible for establishing a stakeholder group to advise and facilitate the project.
Novice researchers are encouraged to apply. The application must propose a research project that addresses the needs, process or outcomes of the electronic collection, storage and exchange of patient health information between health care providers from different sectors in the regional health system.
