Fellowships in Rural Health Research

CUCRH has offered competitive research fellowships to rural and remote health professionals wishing to explore priority issues in their community since 2001. The fellowships include salary replacement, supervision by a CUCRH academic and an academic mentor.  Since 2003 these fellowships have been funded through the Primary Health Care Research, Evaluation and Training (PHCRED) initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. The Researcher Development Program funded additional fellowships (including five mini-fellowships) in 2005.

Recipients of Aged Care Fellowships


In 2008 and 2009 a number of Fellowships were offered to Health Care professionals within the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) region. These Fellowships were sponsored by the Aged Care Directorate of WACHS and were to increase research capacity specifically in the Aged Care sector.
