Research Support @ CUCRH

CUCRH provides a range of services and opportunities for students, health professionals and members of the community to be involved in rural, and remote and Indigenous health research. Funding for most of the activities comes from the Primary Health Care Research Evaluation and Development (PHCRED) Strategy of the Department of Health and Ageing.

Mini-fellowships In Rural Primary Health Care Research And Evaluation – 2009

These short fellowships are designed to increase the capacity of health teams to conduct evaluations. They consist of salary replacement and associated research costs for the equivalent of six weeks full time. In that time the individual can conduct a literature review, design an evaluation, collect data or analyse results…whatever it takes to learn if what they are doing is making a difference. Mentoring by researchers at CUCRH or partner universities is also provided.

Applications are welcomed from any residents in the CUCRH catchment area: Geraldton, Midwest, Murchison, Gascoyne, Pilbara and Goldfields.

Up to Five mini-fellowships are being made available for projects in the Midwest & Murchison (including Geraldton). “Positions are available and applications are still being accepted. Please submit your application as soon as possible or contact Jacki Ward.
