Project co-ordinatorTerri Quinlan TitleExamination of the processes used to build social capital and civic participation in Project DescriptionThis research will examine the processes used to build social capital and increase civic participation in a community-initiated project known as the Positive Campaign Incorporated, currently operating in Geraldton WA. The processes used in this rural community will be described, and strategies that successfully engage individuals in civic participation will be identified. The research will seek to identify common motivations that influence the involvement of key participants, and an attempt to qualify the impact of increased civic participation on the perceived 'health' of the community will be included. |
